Water, which is very free
Has shaped the earth
The Ocean is below the land
Yet rivers flow into them
The strongest buildings,
Will eventually crumble
The tallest tree will eventually fall
And a small seed will blossom in its place
Be cautious of the strong
and they shall become weak
let your weakness be your strength
Immerse yourself in the Tao
and you will be purified
Strong word choice and nice flow throughout the poem
ReplyDeleteI loved the flow of your poem, I think it would sound amazing if performed out loud. Good descriptive detail, beautiful poem in general. :)

ReplyDeleteI liked how you immersed your poem in nature, and connected nature to the Tao, especially how the cycles of nature are so similar to the Tao.
ReplyDeleteI like the use of sudden, brief lines in your poem. It was refreshing to read a poem of such a different style. Your daring attempt at such a poem ended up in a great final product.
