Not with the Wind

The Wind pushes you
Pushes you to want to impress
The Wind is a cycle
A cycle where one will always try to be not just great
but the best

Who is the best?
The best someone is one who follows not the Wind
but Tao
Lives simply and peacefully
Not trying to be correct like life is a test

One who follows Tao..
Lets the Wind blow through their hair
Lets the earth rotate slow
Lets the leaves fall as seasons change
Let's the universe flow

To flow with Tao and not with the Wind... you will be the one who truly glows

  1. I like how in your poem it may be confusing at first, but then when you keep reading it, it starts to all come together.

  2. I liked how you italicized some words to show their emphasis. Your descriptions and examples that you used were also really nice.

  3. Your metaphor of the wind as "going with the flow" was interesting and different from the Tao Te Ching. You also have alternating patterns of lines in the third paragraph, which is good.

  4. I like how you italicized the important words and the picture you chose fits well with your poem.
