The Tao.
To embrace the Tao
is to be like the Tao.
To be like the Tao
is to allow it to flow through you.
You must free
your mind from thoughts
your heart from chaos
your soul from desires
And go back to the origin,
the roots, the Tao.
Complete yourself by emptying your world.
Allow yourself to let go of all,
in order to grasp the Tao.
Lose everything, and the Tao will be your path.
You will see the clarity within the darkness.
Return to the source to enlightened.
I really enjoyed the repetition of Tao in the first verse as it vas both visually appealing and portrayed the real essence of the Tao well. I liked the picture as it really entails the purpose of your poem.
ReplyDeleteYou did a good job of showing the idea that the Tao is accepting both sides of yourself, which was a central idea of the poems we read in class. I like how you formatted the poem because it made it flow really well, and made it more interesting to read. Overall really good job.

ReplyDeleteThe repetition hits me like a heartbeat. The format of the poem keeps you engaged. Applying repetition in the beginning catches the readers attention. The ending just flows and explains the relevance to Tao perfectly. I love the representation of the dark and the light as well.
ReplyDeleteI like how the repetitiveness makes the poem almost a song. It gives the reader a melody in their head to read the poem by.
