The Tao is
and was
and always has been.
It is the way, the reason things are as they are,
the path, the absolute
It is above existence
It does nothing, yet through it all things are done
You cannot find it, yet it is always there
Following only itself
It is what it is
Through the Tao
You know the yin and the yang
You give up everything
to be given everything
Letting go of fixed plans and concepts
Your heart is at peace.
I really like the tone of your poem. It conveys an image of what the Tao feels like.

ReplyDeleteI really like how your poem says something similar to "Things are the way they are, so accept it." Your picture especially matches that way of thinking, because it makes you try to make sense of the picture. However, you really don't have to, because "it is what it is".
